About Threshold & Co.

Evidence over ego. We’re a sport-science apparel studio founded by applied practitioners and researchers who’ve spent years in labs, on trackside, and in the field. Threshold & Co. exists because we wanted clothing that reflects how we actually train and coach—clear principles, not slogans; ideas that stand up to scrutiny, not trends.

Who we are

Our team’s roots are in exercise physiology, sports nutrition, and coaching science. We’ve run incremental tests, set lactate pins, argued over LT1 vs LT2, profiled CP/W′, and lived the realities of monitoring load, sleep, and fuelling with busy athletes. That mix of research literacy and practical coaching is the lens for everything we make.

What we make

Clean, wearable pieces that carry real concepts—training zones, fuelling and recovery—translated into thoughtful typography and iconography. The goal is simple: designs you can wear to the lab, the session, and the café without shouting, but that quietly signal you care about doing the basics well.

How we work

• Evidence-led: Every design starts with a principle we’d be comfortable presenting in a seminar. If the idea drifts from the literature or best practice, it doesn’t ship.

• Applied filter: We favour messages that help execution—pace, fuel, recover—over noise.

• Quality & fit: We choose reliable blanks and keep graphics readable at real-world distances.

• Made to order (UK): Printed/embroidered in the UK to reduce waste and keep turnarounds sensible. Clear sizing, practical care, fair exchanges.

Why “Evidence > Ego”

Because process beats posturing. We value consistent work, measured progress, and coaching conversations grounded in data—whether that’s a polarised week done properly, a better carbohydrate plan, or going to bed on time. The motto on our garments is the same compass we use in our practice.

Who it’s for

Athletes, coaches, and students who train with intent: cyclists and triathletes, runners and rowers, S&C and sport-sci postgrads—anyone who prefers method over myth.

We source responsibly, print to order, and keep packaging lean. We’ll keep improving materials and partners as better options emerge—and we’ll tell you when we do.
